Get involved - Become a Community Bridger Volunteer

There are several opportunities available for volunteers, some of these are formal with areas of responsibility and some are very informal. Below are some examples of opportunities but we’re also keen for people to offer their gifts in creative ways, feel free to talk to us if you have something you’d like to offer.

Meet our CEO - Simon Betteridge

30 years ago I started out in youth and community work. My training had been excellent but it didn’t prepare me for what it meant to build the relationships that changed my world view in such a profound way.

Since then within community development, healthcare, grassroots sport, prison, and in faith groups my passion has been to enable all people to have a voice, and experience life in all its fullness. I’ve had the privilege of seeing people of many different backgrounds flourish, overcoming inequalities, prejudice, illness, isolation and much more.

Help us make a difference in our community

Compassionate Kernow is a charity within Wadebridge Town F.C. Through local partnerships we aim to promote and enable the best possible life experience throughout the whole community.
We are actively looking for volunteers to become Community Bridgers - offering their time to talk and listen to people in the community who need help.
